WELCOME TO THE ONLY MUSEUM THAT IS DEDICATED TO THE GAME WARDEN PROFESSION.
The North American Game Warden Museum was founded by wardens and is managed by a Board of Directors made up of wardens.

LOCATED WITHIN THE INTERNATIONAL PEACE GARDEN, on the border of North Dakota and Manitoba, the museum officially opened its doors in 2000.
-
THE MUSEUM HAS TWO MISSIONS:
1. To honor game wardens who have given their lives in the line of duty
2. To educate the public about their work and the natural resources they protect
INSIDE THE MUSEUM you will find a wide variety of items that have been seized by wardens from all over North America. Every exhibit has a story behind it. You will also see warden uniforms and “tools of the trade,” which will give you an idea of how wardens work and what it takes to be a warden. There is also a library of books related to natural resource protection and an audio/visual area that features a rotating video presentation.

ON THE MUSEUM GROUNDS you will find our Fallen Officer Memorial. The memorial lists the names of all the wardens from every North American jurisdiction who have lost their lives in the line of duty. By introducing the heroes of our profession, we make the matter of natural resource protection real, immediate, and personal to our visiting public. There are also over 600 personalized granite paving stones that honor loved ones who are active or retired wardens. See our support page for more information about purchasing a paving stone.
