North American Game Warden Museum

THE VISITING OFFICER PROGRAM IS BACK!

WOULD YOU LIKE TO REPRESENT YOUR AGENCY AT THE GAME WARDEN MUSEUM?

The North American Game Warden Museum is now accepting applications for the 2024 visiting Officer Program. This is a great opportunity for officers to promote their agency and the game warden profession. Visiting officers stay at the International Peace Garden and spend one long weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) at the Museum in the month of August.

This program is sponsored by the North American Game Warden Museum with the help from our friends at Maine Operation Game Thief. All travel, lodging and meal expenses are covered. If you would like to be considered, please contact Captain Tom Calfa (NYS Encon Police) at nygameprotector@gmail.com for details.

Officers participate in uniform and give a short presentation to the public several times per day. Presentations are up to the officer’s imagination. It cam be a simple introduction to the game warden profession, something program specific, case related, or anything else that the public would find interesting. In between presentation, the officer becomes an ambassador of the profession and their agency, interfacing with the public as they enjoy the museum. The Museum attracts thousands of visitors every year and they love to see and hear stories from an actual game warden.

Deadline for applications is May 15th. The Museum has had visiting wardens from all across North America. Game Warden, Conservation Officer, Natural Resources Officer, Wildlife Officer, Environmental Police and the list goes on. Whatever your badge says, we are all part of the same brotherhood. That brotherhood is celebrated by the North American Game Warden Museum.
